Tell No One (Ne le dis à Personne)

Paediatrician Alexandre Beck (Cluzet) and his wife, Margot (Croze) are childhood sweethearts. When they travel to a secluded lake they frequented as children, Alex is beaten unconscious and Margot is brutally murdered.

Several years later, Alex, immersing himself in his work, has retreated from the world. His lifeline to the real world is provided by his relationship to his sister’s partner, Hélène (Scott-Thomas). When two bodies are found near where Margot met her untimely death, the police decide to reopen the investigation into her murder. Interest turns towards her husband, Alex, as the prime suspect.

Coincidentally, Alex starts receiving puzzling and unsettling emails that he can’t discuss, as he has been given firm instructions to “tell no one”. He embarks upon solving the riddle of the emails, while avoiding capture by the police whose belief that he is guilty is strengthened by his evasive behaviour.

Did he kill his wife? Who is sending the emails, and who are the mysterious, cold-hearted and violent people lurking in the background, menacing Alex’s loved ones?

François Cluzet succeeds in portraying a believably grief-stricken widower, while Kirsten Scott-Thomas impresses in a hard-edged role that is a far cry from the aristocratic women she has played in the past.
