The Road
Nick Cave has scored a number of films, the latest being another collaboration with Warren Ellis (they worked together on The Proposition), for John Hillcoat's adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's grim novel The Road.
Cave and Ellis have succeeded in capturing the austere feel of the movie, and the pervasive sense of persistence in the face of emptiness. The Road contains 17 generous tracks comprising musical pieces and cues from the film.
This CD will be of interest to soundtrack devotees, but also to scores (if you'll excuse the pun) of Cave fans, who have followed this man's prolific creative output.
