Clash of the Titans
The influence of German-born Ramin Djawadi's collaborations with soundtrack stalwart Hans Zimmer are evident in the epic-style score to Clash Of The Titans.
The recording doesn't start in an overly promising fashion: the first track is a song.
But once that's over, the second track lunges us into the dramatic, adventurous themes that accompanied the action in the film.
The tone of the subsequent tracks undulates; track 5 (Medusa), for example, is lyrical, and almost haunting.
The Clash of the Titans will appeal to fans of the film, or, indeed, those who enjoy similar films, or even epic adventure computer and console games.
However, it's important to note that even those who aren't devotees of sci-fi/fantasy films, but who enjoy film music in general, would find this recording interesting, as will those who enjoyed Djawani's score to the 2008 film, Iron Man.
