Angels and Demons
The film may be a dud, but the soundtrack is excellent. All the elements of the film are evident in the music: the religious atmosphere, combined with an impending sense of urgency and peril.
Film composer veteran Hans Zimmer hasn't disappointed with his latest offering: Angels and Demons, which ranges from dramatic choral and percussive pieces to tracks that highlight well-known classical violinist Joshua Bell's proficieny with his instrument. He does a beautiful job with the solos in this recording.
Angels and Demons may not be on your list of must-see films, but don't let that put you off listening to this soundtrack. Oddly enough, seeing the film simply gets in the way of its fine music!
